Students from the Vermont Youth Lobby and the Vermont Student Anti-Racism Network have joined forces to host a statewide Youth Voice Summit on May 20th at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. The overarching theme will be youth voice and lowering the voting age, and sub-themes include racial, climate, and economic justice. Young people are invited to choose a subtopic and attend educational, empowering, and engaging projects and events throughout the day related to that theme. The 3rd Annual Race Against Racism will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Montpelier High School!    The Race Against Racism is a state-wide annual anti-racist event, organized by youth from several Vermont high schools. The 2nd annual Race Against Racism is a youth-led community event held at Montpelier High School on September 23rd, 2018, beginning at 11:30. The event starts with a 5K run/walk through the city of Montpelier. Throughout the event, there will be local vendors vending food, including pizza from Woodbelly Pizza. After the race is completed, the performance portion of the event will begin, featuring activists, artists, musicians, and performances. Performers include Soundcheck and A2VT.
